When to Go: Choosing Your Week

The TASC Tulip Festival runs from late April through approximately May 11, 2026, though that can extend if the blooms cooperate. Each week of the season has its own character, so when you visit actually shapes what you see.

Week 1
Longest Lasting

Early varieties with the most staying power. Fields are fresh and full.

Week 2
Peak Colour

The most vibrant display of the season. This is the week most photographers target.

Week 3
Exotic Blooms

Unique and rare varieties come into their own. Quieter crowds, unusual finds.

For GTA visitors, a weekday trip is worth the extra planning. The atmosphere is noticeably more relaxed, you'll spend less time navigating crowds, and the photography is much easier. If a weekend is your only option, arriving right when the gates open gives you the best experience before the day fills up.

A Full Day Itinerary: Toronto to Niagara and Back

What to Bring

A few practical things that make the day better:

Footwear matters. The farm is a working field. Paths can be uneven and muddy after rain. Comfortable shoes or light boots are the right call. Leave the nice sneakers at home.

Layers. Spring in Niagara means warm afternoons and cooler mornings. It can also get breezy. Dress in layers and you'll be set for whatever the day brings.

Camera or fully charged phone. This is one of the most photogenic places in Ontario in spring. You'll want to be ready. Professional photographers can access a designated area on weekday evenings with a Pro Photographer Ticket.

Cash and credit both work. The farm accepts both at the ticket booth and merchandise tent. Most food trucks do too.

Dogs welcome on weekdays. If you want to bring your dog, weekdays are preferred. They're welcome as long as they're leashed and well-behaved.
